My name is Eden and I am a beautiful Black and White large mixed breed (16 breeds in my DNA to be exact) dog that has the cutest little polkadots too.  I was suddenly left on my own with no owners to be there for me.  I was found abandoned in my backyard with zipties around my neck.   I am not sure why but they forgot to take me with them when they moved out but glad I was found before something bad happened.  I wasn't exactly thinking I would end up in a loud over crowded shelter but it was a blessing in disguise.  I am now fully vetted and ready to find a home that will love me and never leave me outside or abandoned again.  I am looking for a home that has large dog experience. 

My foster mom says that I have settled so nicely in my foster home and really mellowed out.   I get along fine with other dogs and I do great with puppies but NO cats.  I really love my food so I get to eat in my crate by myself.   I share toys and balls and love to chew on those Nylabones.  I can be given treats next to my foster brothers and sisters.  I would do best in a home with older children or teens that know how to handle a dog.  I am being super successful with my training and impulse control.  I know how to sit, down, shake, get on my mat and stay.   I even go right to my crate and sit and wait patiently for you to give me a treat or meal. 

WAIT!!!!  Did you see that????  There is a squirrel in the tree and I have to catch him.  Yes,  I can climb a tree or give it my best shot to get squirrels but no luck catching one yet.  So NO cats, small dogs or small furry pets for me.  That high prey drive is part of my personality.  I also a great alarm when trucks or people walking by as I have a big bark.  I am potty trained and walk well on leash.  My foster mom is teaching me that I have specific things that are dog related that I can chew on and not human shoes, baseball hats or anything I may find laying around but if not watched, I may try to sneak them away to chew on but I have not destroyed anything yet I am starting to get the idea of what is ok to chew on.  I do well in the crate and sleep all night but if you let me sleep near you, I do well just sleeping on the dog bed too.   I ride well in the car but wasn't sure how to get in at first  lolol....  I do enjoy playing but for the most part I enjoy lounging around.  I would love a family where I can be the main dog and go on lots of hiking and camping trips.
