MEET DELILAH!

Delilah was surrendered by her owners to a shelter right before Christmas We have SO many feelings around this but we are relieved to know she and her brother Sebastian are now in our loving care. 

Delilah is an 11 year old Lab mix. Up until she was dropped off at the shelter she was living outside and having puppies. Thank goodness she had her brother Sebastian to help get her through her time at the shelter. 

Delilah is cautious — she stayed by her foster moms side and took everything in; she makes eye contact and it’s truly like she’s communicating with you. She is not fearful, she just had to observe then jumped right into chasing her foster brothers around. 

Delilah might have retriever in her DNA but she wasn’t sure what all the hype was about a game of catch. She doesn’t retrieve the ball, but when her foster brothers grow tired of tennis balls she walks up and grunts until someone picks it up! She joyful runs along with the other dogs to get the ball and follows them back, she’s just not sure she needs to do the same

Delilah deserves all the love in the world. There is something so special about her when she looks at you. She is gentle and nurturing; she has incredible manners and waits patiently while you get her food, she waits until you give her the okay to eat and even come inside. She is also quite fond of the 8 year old boy in her foster home. 

She runs quickly and has energy, proving that 11 is a great year! She knows when it’s time to rest and loves having a new dog bed! She will make a great addition to a family
